User management
Admins manage the people in the workspace from Users in the sidebar. This page covers what you can do from there.
Sections
- Active users — everyone who has accepted their invite and can sign in today.
- Pending invites — invites sent but not yet accepted. Each row shows when sent and when the link expires.
Common actions
Invite a new user
See Invite your team for the full flow.
Change someone's role
Click the user. Pick a new role (Tech / Manager / Admin). Takes effect on their next page load. No email is sent — tell them directly. See Roles & permissions.
Resend a pending invite
On the pending invites list, hit Resend. Same email, fresh 7-day window.
Revoke a pending invite
On the pending invites list, hit Revoke. The link stops working immediately.
Remove an active user
Click the user → Remove from workspace. The user is signed out immediately, blocked from future logins, and their open assignments revert to Unassigned. Their historical activity (tickets reported, comments, photos, parts logged) is preserved and attributed to "[name] (removed)".
You cannot remove the last remaining Admin. Promote someone else first.
Editing your own profile
Everyone can edit their own name, email, and password from Settings → Account. Changing email doesn't require re-verification (yet — that's on the roadmap).
Two-factor auth (TOTP)
Not yet shipped. On the roadmap for enterprise/security-conscious customers.
What happens when a removed user returns
If you re-invite a previously-removed user (same email), they get a fresh account with no link to their historical activity. Their old comments still show under their original name, and their new comments are attributed to the new account.
Re-activating a removed account in place isn't supported.
Plan limits
Each plan tier caps the number of active users. Invites fail if you're at the cap. Upgrade from Billing or remove an inactive user. See Billing & plans.
