Install on your phone

Snippath works in any modern browser, but it's built for phones. On iPhone, install the native app from the App Store; on Android, install the web app from Chrome. Either way you get a home-screen icon, a full-screen app, and push notifications.

iPhone & iPad

Recommended: the App Store app

Download Snippath on the App Store. It remembers your workspace, launches straight into it, and delivers native push notifications. Updates come through the App Store automatically.

Alternative: install the web app from Safari

  1. Open your workspace URL in Safari(Chrome and Firefox on iOS can't install web apps — Apple restricts it).
  2. Tap the Share button (square with an up arrow).
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen(scroll down in the share sheet if you don't see it), then Add.

Android

There's no Play Store app yet — Android installs Snippath as a web app, which Chrome treats like any other app:

  1. Open your workspace URL in Chrome.
  2. Tap the install banner if it appears, or menu (⋮) → Install app (older Chrome: Add to Home screen).
  3. Confirm.

Other Android browsers (Firefox, Edge, Samsung Internet) offer the same thing under "Install" or "Add to Home screen" in their menus.

Desktop

The browser is fine for everyday use. Chrome, Edge, and Brave can also install Snippath as its own window — look for the install icon at the right end of the address bar. Handy for a shop or office computer that keeps the Board up all day.

After installing

Open Snippath, sign in to your workspace, then go to Settings → Push notifications → Enable and allow the prompt. See Notifications for what triggers a push.

Updating and uninstalling

  • The web app updates itself every time you open it — no store involved. The iOS app updates through the App Store like any app.
  • Uninstall on iOS/Android — long-press the icon → Remove/Uninstall.
  • Uninstall on desktop — in the Snippath window, open the menu → Uninstall.

Troubleshooting

  • No "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone— make sure you're in real Safari, and scroll down in the share sheet.
  • Push not arriving— confirm you enabled it in Snippath's Settings and allowed the OS prompt. On iPhone web installs, confirm you opened the app from the home-screen icon, not a Safari tab.
